What is tinea/tinea versicolor?

Tinea is a common fungal infection. It most often occurs on the feet (athlete’s foot) and groin (jock itch).

Tinea versicolor is caused by excessive growth of yeast on the chest and back.

Why treat tinea/tinea versicolor?

Tinea can be itchy, painful and is contagious. Tinea versicolor can be itchy and lead to skin discoloration.
