What is pityriasis rosea?
Pityriasis rosea is rash that can occur after a recent viral infection. Patients initially develop a large, scaly lesion on their body followed by several, smaller lesions.
Why treat pityriasis rosea?
Pityriasis rosea can be itchy and lead to skin discoloration. While the rash will eventually resolve on its own, treatment can alleviate the itching and reduce the risk of skin discoloration.
